No One’s Above the Law

It’s all too easy to place our top professional footballers on pedestals and treat them like ‘Gods’, after all, they have lots of money, trophy wife’s and what’s more we watch them play every week for our favourite football team. However, as a court case this week proved no matter who you are – you’re not above the law. Former Manchester City striker, Kelvin Etuhu (22), was caught on a CCTV camera punching an individual, breaking his jaw in the process, before violently kicking him three times as his victim lay on the ground and was this week sentenced to eight months behind bars for causing actual bodily harm and affray.

Over the last few years, there has been a lot of controversy about the number of Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) that have sprung up across Britain watching everything you do from doing the weekly shop to enjoying a night out with mates. Keeping ‘Top-Cat’ and Friends at Bay

Over the next few months we all expect the temperature to reach double figures and give us all something to smile about (after the record breaking lows of this winter, I think any rise in the temperature would be a welcome relief). Isn’t the warm weather great, as soon as it heats up we’re organising barbecues, garden parties and late night drinks on the decking with family and friends – here in Britain we love to make the most of the warm weather.

Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by a microscopic parasite called Toxoplasma Gondii, which is present in virtually all warm-blooded animals. However, when a cat is exposed to Toxoplasma parasites through the consumption of infected meat or tissues, the cat will eventually excrete millions of eggs in its faeces. When your child accidentally touches this muck – the eggs can then contaminate your child, who might then touch their eyes or mouth leaving them open to serious infection.

London Olympics Ticket Fraud Alert

London Olympics 2012 Ticket Fraud According to a recent report (source) nearly 13 million people in Britain were targeted by credit card fraudsters in 2010, this could have happened as they bought goods on unsecured websites or had their cards cloned by criminal gangs operating in shops and market places or even had their details stolen from discarded bank and credit card statements. Whichever way the criminals managed to obtain the details, many of the ‘victims’ didn’t know their card was used until they received a statement or went to use their card only to find that their ‘limit’ had been reached.
