WEEE Regulations 2006

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006

Producer Registration Number: WEEE/AK2221VX

Battery Importation Registration BPN00622

Under the above regulations it is required that each member state minimise the disposal of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste and to achieve a high level of the correct disposal ensuring that such electical equipment is recovered in an environmentally sound way. In order to help facilitate this we ensure that all electrical items supplied by us have the Crossed out Wheeled Bin Symbol shown upon them, indicating that this item must NOT be disposed of with normal household waste.

All our customers should be aware that it is not sufficient to simply dispose of electrical waste (including batteries etc) by throwing the items away with normal household waste but that they should be separated from the normal waste and taken to a waste recycling unit (usually provided by all Local Authorities) allowing environmentally safe disposal.

It is important that each customer understands their role in contributing to the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery for waste electrical products due to the potential effects on the environment and human health because of the presence of hazardous substances that may be found in such equipment.

Please Note:

We offer a collection and take back system and to this end Crime Prevention Products Limited are happy for their customers to return all old or unwanted electrical items that have been purchased from Crime Prevention Products Limited previously, for environmentally safe disposal. If you wish to return previously bought electrical items to us for disposal please send to:

Crime Prevention Products Ltd (WEEE DISPOSAL DEPT)

Unit 3 Dove Court, 77 Aylesbury Road, Aston Clinton, Bucks. HP22 5AQ
(
note that the customer is responsible for all costs involved in returning any items to us for disposal).
