Every home should have one. Part of the Home Office Distraction Burglary Taskforce evaluated approach, the Door Chain Mirror is a simple but effective solution to the problem of seeing who is outside in situations where the door is tight to the hall wall.

Easy to install and carrying the STOP, CHAIN,CHECK message, the mirrors allow people to see who is outside whilst their door chain or door restrictor is attached.

The use of this product does not have to be restricted to distraction burglary and is very effective for all situations where the view is restricted.

It is a known fact that people who use distraction burglary techniques dislike door chains. They offer a chance for the occupier to identify a visitor without giving them access to the property. This can be the vital deterrant needed to avoid an intrusion.

  • Check whether you are expecting a visitor and whether all other doors into the house are locked and keys removed before opening your chained door.
  • Chain your door before opening and look through a window to visually identify the caller.
  • Check and double check the visitor's ID.
