Hi
I bought this item for my daughter who has to walk home late at night in an urban area. It was delivered directly to her address so I have not seen it.
However she seems very pleased with it.
On test it is extremely loud and she is impressed with its ergonomic design which allows her to hold it easily in her hand. She also likes the fact that it has a torch.
Thank you for supplying it and please God she never has to use it. JH

I bought 2 of these alarms after reading all the great reviews and product specs. Received the products in good order they were nicely packed and both were working fine. I will buy more again from you again! CK Singapore

We have alarms over here in the US but they are not as loud or effective as these ones are. I know that because I travel regularly to the UK and bought one of these on my last trip. Just wanted to say thanks. LG. Los Angeles

Important Note: As an ex police officer, I have designed our alarms to offer the highest protection to both the person AND their property. The key ring is pulled from the alarm to trigger it but if you should have to drop the alarm in order to protect yourself, or if it is knocked from your hand, the personal alarm will continue to operate AND you will still have your keys in your possession (unlike some of our competitors where the keys would still be attached to the alarm!) There are also times when it will be prudent to throw the alarm away to the side or even behind the attacker, 'eyes follow sound' and any aggressor will automatically look at where the alarm has been thrown, this is your chance to get away! Remember as well that a designated 'Place of Safety' for a lone female in potentially threatening situations is - The Car - The House - The Office or place of work. How are you going to get to any of these if you no longer have your keys?

Introduction
The Chaperone® Patriot Personal Attack Safety Alarm produces a high frequency alarm sound and ultra bright LED light. It is ideal for almost everyone with concerns for their personal safety.
Operation of the Alarm
1. Activate the Siren- hold the alarm in one hand and pull the Key chain or Ripcord out of the alarm with the other.
2. To stop the siren – insert the pin back into alarm body. We have designed this alarm to operate this way so that if you drop the alarm, the attacker cannot stop the siren because you still have the pin in your hand, AND YOUR KEYS!
Operation of the Light
Simply press and hold the button located on lower position on the front of the unit.
WARNING
The high output siren fitted to this quality personal alarm may cause ear damage if used at close range for a prolonged period of time. Keep away from children and pets!
Battery Installation
The Alarm Requires (3) LR44 batteries which come supplied and fitted to the alarm. To replace the batteries, the following simple procedure should be followed :
1. Access the battery compartment by removing the two screws on the back of the alarm with a small Phillips screwdriver. Gently pull off the back cover from the alarm.
2. Replace (3) LR44 button batteries noting polarity.
3. Refit the back cover and tighten screws.
