I ordered a personal alarm for myself and a slightly smaller one for my daughter. Upon testing the first one I could definitely see how effective it will be in a situation! The test alarm went off for only a fraction of a second but left me completely stunned. I highly recommend testing it first so you know what to expect should you have to use it. They both fit comfortably in the hand which is something that was really important to me, I knew if it was awkward my daughter wouldn't feel comfortable in using it.
