Proximity Voice Memo Alarm MKII Description
Used in a security situation battery powered and wall mounted on the approach to the main door it will activate before you reach the door. More useful than you think, originally designed to aid those persons who are forgetful. Its uses have expanded to include for example, warnings to staff entering a hazardous area or to children approaching an outside door at home. Domestically it could also be used elsewhere as a prompt or to remind for example to take medication at prescribed intervals. The facility of being able to leave messages for any returning party has proved an invaluable asset.

This unit was designed after consultation with experts in the distraction burglary field who have advised the manufacturers to develop a small, compact and unobtrusive unit for the distraction/bogus caller market.
The Proximity Voice Memo Alarm can be used in a variety of ways. If the householder is of an infirm nature or suffers memory loss, the Proximity Voice Memo Alarm can be used to advise them of the procedures prior to opening the door to a stranger or if they have to take medication, remind them when the medication is due throughout the day. The unit can also be used to play a message for your family members when they return home. The Proximity Voice Memo Alarm can even be used to advise householders of small tasks such as turning off the cooker when they leave their home or reminding them to take their keys with them.
The Proximity Voice Memo Alarm works by using a PIR or Passive InfraRed device to detect a person within it's functional range. The way that the PIR device works(only 30 degree horizontal and just 5 degree vertical coverage) ensures that the alarm will not be triggered by false activations such as the presence of household pets.
